Celebrated Every April 14th.

National Dolphin Day is a day to celebrate dolphins and raise awareness of the 

importance of protecting their habitats so they can thrive.

A Few Dolphin Facts...

• Dolphins are mammals.
• Dolphins communicate through whistles, echolocation, and social communication.
• There are many different species of dolphins.
• Killer whales are in the dolphin family.
• There are cases where dolphins have saved humans from sharks. 
• Dolphins are highly intelligent; some have said they are second only in intelligence to humans.

A Few Ways to Celebrate National Dolphin Day...

1-Swim with the dolphins at a dolphin center.

2-Research all things dolphin.

3-Watch the old TV show Flipper.

4-Visit an aquarium that has dolphins.

5-Watch a documentary on dolphins.

How will I celebrate National Dolphin Day? I will do some research on dolphins and watch a dolphin documentary.
