National Tortellini Day is a day to celebrate this delicious stuffed pasta.

A Few Tortellini Facts...

• Tortellini is a ring or navel-shaped pasta.
• Tortellini is usually stuffed with meat or cheese.
• Tortelloni is similar to Tortellini but is larger in size.
• Tortelloni is originally from Emilia, a region in northern Italy.
• They are also called "umbellico" pasta due to their belly button shape.
• Before the 19th century, Tortellini was only enjoyed by the rich.
• There are two theories about how tortellini got its unique shape. One is that it was fashioned after a belly button, and the other says it was formed in the shape of a turtle.

A Few Ways to Celebrate National Tortellini Day...

1-Make a recipe that calls for Tortelloni.

2-Go to an Italian Restaurant and enjoy a bowl of Tortelloni.

3-Attempt to make Tortelloni from scratch.

4-Research how to make pasta.

How will I celebrate National Tortellini Day? I will enjoy a bowl of Tortellini.  I think I will buy some premade at the grocery store, add some pasta sauce, and enjoy:-)
