Let's Celebrate Wolfenoot!
Celebrated Every November 23rd.
November 23rd marks Wolfenoot, a unique daily holiday born from the imagination of a young boy affectionately known as the Wolfenoot Kid. Celebrated around the world since 2018, Wolfenoot honors canines, kindness, and the special bond between humans and their four-legged friends. Named in remembrance of the “Great Wolf,” this day encourages us to show compassion to animals, especially wolves and dogs, and embrace the spirit of kindness that the holiday represents.
A Few Wolfnoot Facts...
- Wolfenoot is celebrated annually on November 23rd, the date chosen by its creator to mark the anniversary of the “Great Wolf’s” death.
- The boy also authored The Wolfenoot Story, which tells how a regular wolf became the benevolent “Spirit of the Wolf” who gives gifts.
- Those who celebrate the holiday are known as the “Wolfenati.”
- The “Spirit of the Wolf” is believed to hide small gifts around the house like a scavenger hunt, rewarding those who are kind to dogs with better presents.
- A Few Ways to Celebrate Wolfenoot Day...
- Celebrate by preparing a roast meat meal, honoring the wolf’s diet, with vegetarians and vegans welcome to use plant-based alternatives.
- Volunteer or donate to local animal shelters, rescues, or wolf conservation efforts.
- Give someone who loves dogs a special gift, if you have a dog buy them a new toy.
- Watch wolf themed movies or documentaries.
How will I Celebrate Wolfenoot? I am going to donate to a local shelter.
