• Mini golf was popular in the 1920s but faded out with the Great Depression.  Complete courses came into vogue in the early 1960s
• The first full mini golf course was called Thistle Dhu in Pinehurst, California.
• Other names for mini golf are crazy golf, putt-putt, shorties, midget golf, and mini putt.
