A Few Independence Day Facts...

  • Independence Day commemorates the adoption of the Declarations of Independence in 1776.
  • The document was signed on the 2nd of August 1776 but it was adopted by the Continental Congress on the 4th of July 1776.
  • The Declaration of Independence declared the 13 American colonies independent of British rule.
  • Americans eat around 150 million hot dogs on the 4th.
  • Independence Day became a Federal Holiday in 1870.

A Few Ways to Celebrate The 4th of July...

  1. Fly the American Flag.
  2. Have a BBQ or picnic.
