• The tropics are biodiverse and contain a large percent of plant and animal species. 
• The tropics are known for their year round warmth and strong sunlight.
• Tropical rainforests provide resources like coffee, bananas, and rubber.
• One of the major threats to the rainforests found in tropical regions is deforestation.
