- Carrots are root vegetables.
- Carrots can be orange, red, purple, black, yellow, or white.
- It is thought that wild carrots originated in Persia (now Afghanistan and Iran).
- Carrots were brought to America by the Europeans in the 17th Century.
- Carrots have high amounts of carotene, vitamin K, and Vitamin B6.
