Let's celebrate National Animal Cracker Day.  A day to enjoy these delicious cookies 

that most of us had as a child.

A Few Animal Cracker Facts...

• Animal Crackers are small baked cookies shaped like zoo or circus animals.
• They are made of layered dough like crackers, but taste sweet like cookies.
• Animal Crackers were created in England in the 1800s.
• Initially, they were called Animal Biscuits.
• There have been 54 different animals represented.
• Nabisco was the first to box Animal Crackers in 1902.
• The Animal Crackers box string was created so you could hang them from your Christmas Tree.
• Shirley Temple sang a song about Animal Crackers in a movie called Curly Top.
