This is a day to celebrate all the fun card games available to us.  

A Few Playing Card Facts...

• The biggest maker of playing cards, Bicycle, came up with this special day.
• The earliest mention of playing cards was in the Tang Dynasty in China.
• In the 1300s, card playing made an appearance in Europe.
• In 1885, the first Bicycle brand cards became available.
• In the 1400s, religious sermons denounced playing cards as bad.
• Playing cards can keep your mind sharp.

A Few Ways to Celebrate Play More Cards Day...

1-Play a favorite card game.

2-Learn a new card game.

3-Organize a card party.

4-Learn the history of your favorite game.

5-Buy a deck of cards.

How will I celebrate Play More Cards Day? When I think back, I clearly remember my Mom loved to play cards.  Her favorites were Rummy, Hearts, Old Maid, and Oh Hell.  One that I would add that is fast-paced and fun was Spoons. It was so much fun!

I am going to gather a group of people to play spoons.
