This is a day to celebrate all things butterscotch.

A Few Butterscotch Facts...

• The primary ingredients in butterscotch are brown sugar and butter.
• Butterscotch was thought to originate in Scotland, but there is no proof of this.
• Another source says that butterscotch was invented in England in 1817.
• There is debate as to the word scotch in butterscotch.  Did scotch relate to Scotland, or was it from the word scotched or scorched from it being scorched butter?

A Few Ways to Celebrate National I Want Butterscotch Day...

1-Make a butterscotch dessert or candy.

2-Go out for dessert and get something with butterscotch in it. 

3-Buy some butterscotch candy to share.

4-Buy a butterscotch-flavored drink.

How will I celebrate National I Want Butterscotch Day? I am going to buy the candy my dad used to love, which is butterscotch flavored...Werther's.
