Welcome to Finding Joy in the Journey! I am so glad you are here. This blog will be dedicated to finding and enjoying joy and fun in our lives regardless of what we are going through or may have been through. 

Like many people, I have experienced some life-shattering events. Even in the early days of my challenges, I looked for joy and God's beauty, even in the pain. I can't say it was always easy or that I found joy every day when I was going through difficult times, but I tried. In trying, I would see glimmers of hope, which made me seek the beauty I knew was there even though I did not always see it.

I learned that if you are determined, joy and beauty can be found even in difficult times. Today, I see beauty every day, even on difficult days. Why do I see this beauty when I am hurting? Because I make the effort to do so.  

There are so many ways to find joy in our lives. We can find joy in activities, in God's beauty that surrounds us, and through family and friends. These are just a few ways; there are many more.   My hope is that we can discover together how to have joy in our lives.

When I think of things that bring me joy and that I hope to include in this blog, I think of...

• Joy can be found in the knowledge of God's love for us
• Joy can be found in family and friends
• Joy can be found in holidays
• Joy can be found through new experiences and events
• Joy can be found in helping others
• Joy can be found in self-care and stress-relief techniques
• Joy can be found in wine and food
• Joy can be found in travel 
• Joy can be found in entertainment
• Joy can be found.....(you fill in the blank)
